DE HAVILLAND DASH 7/8 BOMBARDIER IS proposing a maritime- patrol derivative of the Dash 8-300 twin-turbo prop regional aircraft. Military Dash 8M-100s are already in service with the Canadian Forces (two CC-142 transports and four CT-142 nav igation trainers) and the USAF (two range-con trol E-9As). Earlier, four-turboprop, Dash 7s are in ser vice with the US Army as the RC-7B Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Multifunction (ARL-M), with a fleet of eight planned by 2004. The ARL- M is equipped with Raytheon moving-tar get-indication/synthetic-aperture radar. GLOBAL EXPRESS RAYTHEON SYSTEMS has selected the Global Express long-range business jet as the basis for its proposal for the UK's Airborne Stand-Off Radar requirement. The Global Express, now in flight test, is powered by two 65kNBMWR-RBR710s. LEARJET 35A/36A MILITARY VARIANTS of the Learjet 3 5 A/3 6A business jet include 84 3 5 As operated by the US Air Force as C-21A transports and five 36As operated by the Japan Maritime Self- Defence force as utility U-36As.
