Technical Instructors We now have opportunities for Technical Instructors who have: • at least 3 years experience instructing on aircraft systems and engines or electrics/avionics (pressurised aircraft) at a fundamental level • a good understanding of JAR 66 and 147 • 5 years aircraft maintenance experience, preferably in base maintenance • conducted type-rating training on one of the following aircraft: B737 / B757 / MD80 / A320 or associated engines - this would be an advantage but is not essential. The selected candidates will be required to instruct technician initial training to JAR 66 level. As a Quality Assurance engineer, you would be responsible for monitoring and auditing the airworthiness of our aircraft, as well as our Engineering department and customer airlines to ensure that they comply with Company, Industry and Government regulations. Your key areas of responsibility are -Aircraft technical surveillance -Audit of Engineering, supplies, line stations and sub contractors -Stores inspection support -Quality assurance investigations as directed by the Manager -Certificate of Airworthiness renewal inspections and applications - Other projects as directed by the Manager and/or the Deputy Manager Requirements: - Licensed Aircraft engineer, A and C or Avionics -At least 8 years as a licensed engineer CATHAY PACIFIC -Previous experience on any of the following aircraft types would be an advantage: B747 series, B777, A320, A330, A340 -Previous Quality Assurance experience is an advantage -Good standard of spoken and written English -Cantonese and/or Mandarin speaker would be an advantage -Willing to travel and work at overseas maintenance facilities -Occasional night shift Successful candidate will receive an attractive remuneration package and will be offered on contract terms.
