The company now seeks to appoint two General Managers for its restructured operations to lead its two primary business divisions. GENERAL MANAGER - OMAN AIR The General Manager - Oman air will be a key participant in the expansion and development plans of the airline division, Oman Air. The General Manager - Oman air will be responsible for directing the three business units of Marketing, Flight Operations and Engineering and reports to the Chairman. Key Responsibilities overall responsibility of the functioning of the airline • business strategy and business direction • growth, diversification and profitability of the airline • quality and cost of services provided mentoring and co-ordinating line/asset managers people development • Key Result Areas strategic appreciation of the scope of the role achievement of revenue growth and profit margin targets effective development and implementation of business plans and initiatives in line with the organistaion 's strategy new customers and business opportunities for airline services effective financial, budgeting and analytic skills • ability to gain support for strategic direction, use of change management skills • achievement of high ranking in independent airline customer satisfaction and image survey A self motivated and dynamic person, the ideal candidate for this position is expected to possess a management qualification with a minimum of 15 years work experience, of which at least 8 years should have been with a quality airline. The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience at a similar level. Excellent leadership, proficiency in English, people and communicational skills are considered to be essential qualities. GENERAL MANAGER - AIRPORT SERVICES The General Manager - Airport services will be a key participant in the expansion and development plans of the airport division. The General Manager - Airport services will be resonsible for directing and co-ordinating the three business units of Ground Handling, Catering and Cargo and reports to the Chairman.
