Our pilots aren't the only ones who get planes off the ground. Operations Duty Managers c.£23,500 [+ £3,000 shift package] Based Crawley If you're used to dealing with sfcuations as they arise, take a moment to read this ad. Then, take a moment to consider a career with Virgin Atlantic. With 10-15 years' aviation experience, two to three at management level, you're already used to ensuring flight delays are kept to a minimum, and that planes leave safely and on time. Now imagine a role where you don't simply react to problems, you take proactive, tactical steps to pre-empt them. You'll look at flight schedules, weather, a/c performance and crew flight limitations in depth, highlighting and forecasting potential problems well in advance. Naturally, should a schedule disruption occur, you'll act swiftly to remedy it, resolving any disputes and minimising inconvenience to our customers. You'll also promote our target for timely takeoffs, and record all departure and arrival performance in detail - enabling you to monitor trends and eliminate obstacles in the future. Building strong relationships with airport managers, our engineering team and aircrew, you'll be the person people turn to first. Tactful, diplomatic and commercially aware of the big picture, it's important you're comfortable working a 12 hour day or night shift, four days a week, as part of a rotational system. You should also be able to apply experience and knowledge to any situation, quickly and decisively. We'll reflect the benefits you bring our customers and us in a discretionary salary package that includes, after a qualifying period, pension and private medical schemes, life assurance and arguably the best concessionary travel scheme in the industry. Take the first of many important decisions, please call our 24 hour recruitment hotline on 01483 461084 for an application form, which should be completed and returned no later than Friday 30th July 1999. 0 3 2 ft I SS UWTOUER (i m* MMfflHCmBP 4 ^ Our group specializes in the design and fabrication of high technology products for the aeronautics and military industries.
