www. flightinternational.com STATION MANAGER (Heathrow Airport) ••••••••••••••••••••••I Emirates is the award-winning international airline of the United Arab Emirates. We are looking for an outstanding Station Manager for our operations at Heathrow Airport, which has three daily flights. The person appointed will be required to manage and ensure a safe and efficient airport operation in order that Emirates' image, reputation, and customer service levels are maintained to the highest standard. He/she should also ensure that adequate measures are implemented and maintained in order to protect the safety and security of the entire operation, including aircraft, passenger, cargo, baggage and employees. The ideal candidate will be: • Able to guide and motivate employees whilst being assertive, tactful and diplomatic as circumstances warrant • Conversant with flight planning and the pertinent aspects of meteorology and Departure Control Systems • Capable of working under pressure in an environment where a high degree of initiative, self-motivation and control are required, necessitating the jobholder to demonstrate leadership ability • Able to operate and/or be familiar with various computerised systems e.g. reservations, departure control, baggage tracing and various software packages i.e. Word and Excel • Able to offer a minimum of 15 years' airline experience handling long-haul, scheduled wide-bodied aircraft with large passenger uplifts, of which a minimum of 5 years' should be either at Managerial or Duty Officer level • Educated to at lest degree level • Qualified to advanced level in Passenger Services, Ground Operations, Cargo Weight & Balance, Reservations & Ticketing and Dangerous Goods Regulations.
