The islands enjoy one of the highest standards of living in the Caribbean. Applications are invited for the post of: PILOT Mosquito Research and Control Unit (MRCU) The Mosquito Research and Control Unit is responsible for providing control of mosquitoes for the Cayman Islands. The postholder is required to carry out aerial mosquito control operation including liquid adulticide applications (usually operating after sunset) and granular larvicide operations. In addition the postholder will be required to undertake aerial treatment operations when required. Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge/experience of DGPS, ULV applications and granular metering units. Qualifications and Experience: at a minimum applicants should possess: • a professional ICAO Pilot's Licence acceptable to the Cayman Islands Civil Aviation Authority; • 5,000 hours PIC, including at least 2,500 hours Agricultural (including night spraying); 500 hours Turbo Prop, preferably TPE331, and 20 hours S2R series aircraft. TAX-FREE SALARY: US$66,228 - US$82,714 per annum The appointment is on contract for two years in the first instance with an option to seek renewal.
