To be successful you will have 4 years' experience with an aerospace manufacturer backed by an Engineering Degree or HND/HNC and a recognised apprenticeship or training programme. Familiar with CAA, FAA and )AR legislation, you should have a sound knowledge of structures design philosophy, modern materials, failure modes and their in-service repair, and ageing aircraft activities. You will also need experience of aircraft design/maintenance to gain CAA Design and Stress signatory approval within 2 years and must be able to carry out draughting for repair schemes and modifications.
