.RID AIRUN (RECTORY Date established 1980 Date operations started 1986 Description Regional airline operating both its own scheduled network from and to Augsburg and several domestic and international routes for Lufthansa as a Team Lufthansa member. History Started commercial operations as Interot Airways, initially with flights from Augsburg to Dusseldorf. In 1993, it began flying to European holiday destinations for tour operators, and added international scheduled operations, to Florence, a year later. The co-operation with Lufthansa, initiated in 1996, was accompanied by a change of name to Augsburg Airways. In 1999, the airline inaugurated its shuttle-bus service between Augsburg railway station and the airport.
