Using state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated fleet of aircraft, AT&E ensures that software and systems are subjected to the most challenging technical standards and operational situations, providing recommendations for systems and software release. AT&E's current work encompasses all in-service and future UK military aircraft and their systems together with an increasing portfolio of civil aerospace and other projects. To add further strength and guidance on rotary wing platforms, we're now seeking to appoint a software specialist to lead the assessment and evaluation of software embedded in helicopter and associated support systems. You will be involved in the planning, co-ordinating and implementing trials, testing and assessment, working in integrated project teams and producing recommendations for MOD and commercial customers on overall performance and specification compliance. Your profile will indicate experience of the processes involved for software development at each integrity level. An engineering graduate, or equivalent, you will have a good knowledge of software systems design, integration and, particularly, systems safety. A proactive and flexible approach is essential as you will be working in a dynamic environment, at times overseas. Any existing experience of military aircraft operations would be an advantage, but is not essential. This challenging new role offers excellent prospects for continuous professional development.
