OPERATIONS MANAGER - AERODYNAMICS We are seeking an outstanding individual to take responsibility for the operation and development of our aerodynamic testing. You will work with the aerodynamicists and designers to devise a development plan and then manage model making and wind tunnel operations to ensure the plan is completed on time. You will be responsible for a substantial investment programme that will ensure we have state-of-the-art facilities available for car development, and the best people available to operate them. In addition you will be required to liaise closely with other departments to ensure the success of the projects and effective use of resources across the company. You will be an engineering graduate with an understanding of the role of aerodynamics in the development of F1 cars. A formal qualification in Project Management is highly desirable as is direct experience of managing test or production facilities. You will be commercially aware and have an assertive approach and a persuasive communication style to influence key individuals. Furthermore, experience with hydraulic systems would be advantageous. You must also be fully competent with CAD, preferably with SDRC Master Series, but conversion training will be provided if necessary. The position is demanding and the ability to consistently work to very high standards under pressure is essential. Ref: MDE/F DETAIL DESIGNER This challenging role will see you design composite components for a wide range of F1 parts and carry out a variety of mechanical design tasks to the highest standards. You will have strong CAD skills, including surfacing and detail design and if you're already familiar with the SDRC Master Series system, so much the better - though we will give you full conversion training if necessary. Ideally you will have a good knowledge of manufacturing technology relating to composite components, and you will be qualified to BTEC, HNC, HND or degree level. In terms of experience, we're looking for at least two years' industrial design background in aerospace, motorsport or a related field. To succeed, you'll also need to be an enthusiastic team worker with plenty of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
