Sabena filed for bankruptcy after its financial difficulties spiralled out of con trol and it suspended all flights. Sabena's regional sub sidiary, Delta Air Transport (DAT), restarted operations on November 10, 2001, initially offering a European network under the name SN Brussels Airlines.The airline was found ed as Societe Anonyme Beige d'Exploitation de la Navigation Aerienne, more commonly known as Sabena, taking over from SNETA.
