Station Manager Based: Manchester Airport Salary: c£40,000 plus pension, private health care and excellent benefits Located at MyTravel Airways' largest base with eleven aircraft this is a challenging role working in a high profile and pressured environment. With responsibility for managing andcontrolling the on the ground operations at Manchester Airport, you will utilise and lead your team towards the key goal of ensuring On Time Performance. Planning ahead for any eventuality you will possess the ability to anticipate problems before they occur and by developing close links with all third party providers together you will aim to achieve 100% on time scheduling. Managing a team, you will utilise their specific abilities and use your excellent motivation skills to get the best from them. With a wide-ranging knowledge of airport operations, you will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate your superb organisation skills when most needed. A natural communicator and problem solver, you should have excellent interpersonal skills, at least three years' management experience in an airport operations role and be prepared to work flexible hours. Duty Operations Manager Based: Manchester Salary: c£36,000 plus pension, private health care and excellent benefits Based at MyTravel Airways' headquarters, you will take responsibility for the management of day to day flight operations across all UK and overseas bases. A time critical function, you will ensure flights go on schedule and pro-actively manage disruption to minimise impact on customers, whilst paying close attention to budgetary controls. Supervising operations, crew control and flight support staff, you will ensure they all work effectively together. Your actions can truly make a difference to our customers, so it is the ability to prepare contingency plans and anticipate problems that really counts. By working closely with operations, customer services, flight planning, crewing and staff at our airports, you will drive them all to work as a team towards the same goal of achieving On Time Performance. This role involves working a rotating shift pattern across 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, so flexibility is essential. A natural leader, you should possess a minimum of three years' management experience in a airline environment. Ad hoc flights to European destinations are also part of the routine. Candidates must have a JAA/CAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and a current JAA/CAA First Class Medical Certificate. You will also have a minimum flight time of 5,000 hours, of which at least 1,500 were as P.I.C., including 500 hours within the last five years.
