The UK Government has decided to establish a new not-for-profit Civil Aviation Authority subsidiary company. Air Safety Support International, that will begin operations in April 2003. Working with Overseas Territory Governments, the purpose is to ensure that aviation in theTerritories meets international civil aviation standards. In addition to normal CEO responsibilities, the job will include liaison with Overseas Territory Governments, the Department forTransport and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.You will bring high levels of diplomatic flair, broad cultural awareness and at least fifteen years' senior-level experience of international aviation, together with significant experience of civil aviation regulation. Technical Services Engineer - Projects A permanent vacancy exists within the Fleet Projects Department for an experienced engineer, specialising in Project Management of the following fields: • Specification/configuration during New Aircraft campaigns, including equipment purchase/liaison from inception through to delivery phase; • Re-configuration of newly acquired aircraft to air 2000 fleet standard; • Aircraft End of Lease programmes; Technical knowledge in respect of aircraft regulatory requirements/modifications is essential. Experience of corporate styling of interior and exterior of aircraft fleet would be an advantage. You will be required to support engineering and commercial departments in respect of ATA Chapter 25 envelope. With computer literacy and first class interpersonal skills, you must be highly commercially focused and able to sustain protracted negotiation with suppliers to ensure budgetary/warranty/credit requirements are met and maintained.
