"Honeywell seeks both quality and efficiency in our training. And that's what we find at FlightSafety." HONEYWELL AVIATION DIRECTOR JERRY NORTON brings an informed perspective to flight training. As a former military flight instructor and FAA safety inspector, he knows firsthand what excellent training looks like and the difference it can mean. "My background with flight training and accident investigation gave me a tremen dous appreciation for quality training," explains Norton. "Consequently, I expect a lot from a training provider, and FlightSafety always delivers." Norton relies on FlightSafety to train Honeywell's more than 20 pilots who fly a diverse fleet including a GIV-SP, a Citation X, multiple Dassault Falcons, and a Sikorsky S-76. The operation also includes 12 technicians and three flight attendants - all FlightSafety-trained as well. "Within the FlightSafety structure, we find the training we need for every member of the flight team," says Norton. JERRY NORTON Aviation Director, Honeywell Following college grad uation, Jerry Norton joined the U.S. Marine Corps aviation program. In 1966 he was designated a Naval Aviator and became rated in both fixed- and rotor-wing air craft. He flew Marine heli copters in Vietnam and, on his return, became both a helicopter and jet instructor for the Navy. Norton extended his mili tary career flying C-130s in the Air Force Reserve. As a civilian, he's flown for Northwest Airlines, Ford, and-since 1977-for Honeywell, where he flies their GIV-SP and S-76. Rare opportunities have found their way into Norton's 18,000+ hours of flying, like the otherwise routine flight in 1982 when he watched as Mt. St. Helens erupted. And with Honeywell, he's flown R&D missions in such exotic locales as the North Pole. Norton has trained with FlightSafety for 29 years. "That makes for high efficiency. And, in addition to FlightSafety's recurrent training, their broad range of enrich ment courses offers something for all experience levels." But good training means more than single-source efficiency, Norton observes. "It's really their commitment to excellence that keeps us committed to FlightSafety." www.fJJghtsafetycom FlightSafety international Training Corporate Aviation Professionals for More Than 50 Years.
