Kj N G S T 0 N V E R S I T Y FACULTY OFTECHNOLOGY SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING Newcastle Aviation Academy Kingston University, KLM UK Engineering and City of Bristol College have recently launched the first Foundation Degree programme based on the UKJAR-66 requirement. This consortia is accredited as the European Centre of Excellence in Aircraft Education and Training by the Institution of Transport Management and has been described as a 'model of excellence' by Margaret Hodge, Minister of Higher Education, in 2002. Kingston University is the top rated provider of aerospace degree programmes (TQA 24/24) and KLM UK Engineering and City of Bristol College are approved JAR-147 institutions. As part of the aircraft maintenance engineering project Kingston University and City of Bristol College are opening a new campus at Newcastle Airport.The facility resources include a new hanger, classrooms and a functional Boeing 737. As a result of this initiative and a new HEFCE development grant, we are looking to recruit to the following posts: Principal Lecturer in Aircraft Engineering/Maintenance job ref:JS2236 based in Newcastle £34,940 - £40,394 - 37 hpw We are looking for a Principal Lecturer to lead the Newcastle Airport facility with experience in managing the delivery of compliant programmes.You will have effective course management skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Senior Lecturer (2 posts) in Aircraft Engineering/Maintenance job Ref:JS2235 based in Newcastle or Kingston upon Thames £25,708-£34,191 -37 hpw We are looking for two Senior Lecturers with lecturing experience in aircraft maintenance engineering programmes to teach at Newcastle Academy and Kingston.
