Ethiopian Airlines, a 100% state owned enterprise, started its first international operation in 1946.The airline currently operates an all Boeing jet fleet of B737's, B757's and B767's and serves 44 international and 27 domestic stations. CONSULTANCY SERVICES Ethiopian Airlines plans to achieve sustained and sound profitability and strong competitive position by providing innovative products whose price and quality strongly contribute toward making the airline a leading player in Africa. The Board of Management of Ethiopian Airlines intends to develop and implement a medium (five years) and long-term (fifteen years) strategic plan by involving a consultant. Interested international firms are, therefore, invited to participate in the bid. Bangladesh Biman Corporation invites offers for lease/lease with option to purchase/purchase of three (3) ATR72-500 or Dash 8-Q400 aircraft either new or used with identical specification as per the tender schedule to be delivered in Bangladesh Biman's livery. 2. Financing proposals for acquisition of aircraft on purchase/lease with option to purchase are requested from the bidders/suppliers. 3. Tender schedule containing detailed specifications and terms and conditions will be available at cash and banking section of Biman head office, Balaka, Kurmitola, Dhaka and from Biman's overseas office at New York, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, Rome, Dubai, Jeddah, Delhi, Mumbai, Karachi, Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur on all working days during office hours from 28 May 2003 on payment of USD100 (one hundred) only or equivalent (non-refundable) for each tender schedule. The cost of tender schedule in Bangladesh will be BDT 6,000 (six thousand) only. 6. Bidders will be required to submit their offers in two separate sealed envelopes as per tender schedule, addressed to the General Manager (Planning), Bangladesh Biman, Head Office, Balaka, Kurmitola, Dhaka-1229. Bangladesh latest by 1200 hours BST (0600 hours UTC) on or before 03 July 2003 and same shall be opened immediately after the closing time in the presence of the bidders, if any. The two envelopes must be clearly marked as 'First Envelope' and 'Second Envelope' respectively. 7.
