With this in mind we are seeking to recruit for the following positions based at London Luton Airport. technical services engineer - maintenance programs Duties will include evaluating manufacturer recommendations, mandatory requirements, internally generated requirements and the results of previous inspections to optimise and gain regulatory authority approval for our customers maintenance programs. Where appropriate there will be participation in industry wide maintenance review steering groups. In addition to working closely with our systems specialists and Commercial Planning Engineers you will be required to liaise directly with customers, regulatory authorities and manufacturers, therefore good communication skills are essential. To fulfill the requirements of the post you will need to be an experienced Schedules Engineer or Planning Engineer with knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs. We would also welcome applications from individuals with technical training equivalent to an apprenticeship or academic qualifications to a minimum of HND standard with suitable experience. technical services engineer - avionics Duties will include developing operator maintenance schedules to improve airworthiness, safety and reliability, as well as the management of technical issues identified through fleet operations or maintenance. You will be required to monitor system and component reliability and liaise with external agencies. Whilst first class engineering skills are a pre-requisite for this position, the ability to communicate effectively, work as part of a team and think "out of the box" are all important attributes required from a successful candidate. You will have at least five years proven practical experience of aircraft maintenance on airbus fleet types A320, A321, A300 and A330 preferably supported by experience in a technical service environment. To obtain an ID pass to restricted areas at UK Airports successful candidates will be required, in accordance with the Department for Transport regulations, to obtain a Criminal Records Check from Disclosure Scotland.
