The following positions will be based at Filton, near Bristol. We offer a competitive salary plus benefits. A400M FUEL SYSTEMS AVIONICS ENGINEER Working in a multi-disciplinary engineering department, this position involves aircraft fuel system avionics design for the Airbus A400M Military Airlifter. You will be required to provide compliant and safe solutions to the management and gauging of aircraft fuel, as well as the tactical receipt and dispense of fuel in flight. This will not only involve interaction with the structural and hydrodynamics teams, but also liaison and in some cases, management of systems suppliers and customers. Involvement through each phase of development - from architectural design, detailed specifications, validation and verification through to flight test - will be expected. You will have a degree in engineering and preferably have knowledge of aircraft standards, safety engineering, digital hardware design and software engineering. Equivalent experience in other safety related developments will also be considered. You will be familiar with the normal Office software and expertise in Matlab/Simulink, ARINC standards, Ethernet and languages will be a definite plus. This exciting opportunity will involve transnational communication on a daily basis with other Airbus engineering teams across Europe, as well as some travel in support of reviews and engineering negotiations. FUEL SYSTEM SAFETY SPECIALIST You will be a focal point for all aspects of fuel system safety and reliability analysis across the Airbus product range. As a recognised safety specialist within the fuel systems group you will provide support and guidance to other group members carrying out fuel system safety analysis. The role will also include significant liaison with fuel system equipment suppliers and other design teams across Airbus. You should be educated to degree level and have a minimum of six years' experience in safety and reliability assessments in an aerospace field.
