With this in mind we are seeking to recruit for the following positions based at London Luton Airport. maintenance planning engineer The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning of maintenance requirements for nominated aircraft. This will include the assessment of out of phase maintenance tasks, liaison within Technical Services to provide operational related non-scheduled maintenance packages and the collation of the required documentation to form a check pack. To be considered candidates should have served a recognised apprenticeship with at least five years practical experience of aircraft maintenance and be able to demonstrate knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes, the planning support function and the method by which scheduled maintenance requirements are derived. We will also accept applicants who have equivalent technical qualifications (minimum of HNC/D) with the relevant experience. Candidates must be able to provide evidence of computer literacy, exhibit good communication skills and have knowledge of project management techniques. technical services engineer - avionics The role centres on the development of operator's maintenance schedules to improve airworthiness, safety and reliability. You will be involved in the management of technical issues identified through fleet operations or maintenance and be required to monitor system and component reliability as well as liaison with external agencies. Whilst first class engineering skills are a pre-requisite for this position, the ability to communicate effectively, work as part of a team and exhibit initiative and lateral thinking to support operations are all important attributes required from a successful candidate. You must be licensed with at least five years proven practical experience of aircraft maintenance on airbus fleet types A320, A321, A300 and A330 preferably supported by experience in a technical service environment. We will also consider candidates with equivalent qualifications and experience. To obtain an ID pass to restricted areas at UK Airports successful candidates will be required, in accordance with the Department for Transport regulations, to obtain a Criminal Records Check from Disclosure Scotland.
