In this senior role within engineering, you will be responsible for monitoring our processes whilst working closely with engineering to provide an operational perspective to any in-service issues. Other responsibilities will include co-ordinating flight operational information supplied to operators and, in the event of a serious incident, representing BAE SYSTEMS during the investigation. In order to maintain safety standards across our world-wide fleet, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of the internal investigation team and liaison with investigation authorities following a serious incident/accident. The role also involves advising senior management from engineering, customer support and training on flight safety matters, as well as flight operational liaison and the generation of proactive safety initiatives for our operators. Based Woodford, near Manchester ^Kty Head of Training For both of these roles, it's essential that your are an experienced Training Captain in the airline industry, holding a JAA ATPL with substantial training experience and, ideally, approval on one of the BAE SYSTEMS Regional Aircraft types (BAe 146/AvroRJ, ATP, J41,131/32)- If you join us as Head of Training, you will need to meet with CAA approval and have the necessary experience to lead a team of Training Captains, as well as simulator and ground staff. As Deputy, you will be responsible for the administration of the TRTO and will assist the Head of Training in leading the training team, ensuring the maintenance of the high standards expected by the UK CAA. Training Captf You will be an experienced airline Training Captain holding a valid JAA APTL licence endorsed with at least one of our civil aircraft types (146/RI, ATP, J31/32. J41) including a valid simulator and aircraft TRI/TRE qualification. You will be required to become qualified as an Instructor and Examiner on at least one of our other civil aircraft type in order to support the widely diversified operational activities. These activities will include training and checking, line training, certificate of airworthiness test flying and aircraft delivery.
