replace the G160's four-blade Hartzell pro peller with the five-blade Mtihlbauer MTV- 5 composite propeller it uses on its G140TP four-seat utility aircraft. Grob believes the all-composite aircraft's range of around 3,300km with six passengers is a key sell ing point. The aircraft is to be fitted with a trailing-link landing gear for rough strips, and requires 650m for take-off or landing. Grob has picked Honeywell's Apex inte grated cockpit for the G160, certification and first deliveries of which are set for 2005. The latest addition, the large-cabin G350, was launched in February. The $27.5 million aircraft - which combines the fuselage and upgraded Rolls-Royce Tay 611-82 engines of the G450 with the cockpit of the larger G550 - will allow the company to compete more effectively with the Dassault Falcon 2000EX and Bombardier Challenger 604 in the large-cabin, mid-range segment. The G350 will be a lower-specification, shorter-range and cheaper stablemate of Grob has the G450, introduced in October 2003, made its which itself will replace the G400, formerly first foray in the GIV-SP. The certification process for the the two will work in parallel, with certification business for the G350 likely in the fourth quarter aircraft and deliveries beginning in the third quar- market with terof2005. theG160 Both aircraft feature the Honeywell turboprop PlaneView flightdeck and Primus Epic single avionics, and pilot ratings will be the same. Unlike the G450, the G350 does not have an enhanced vision system, in-cabin elec tronics and communications systems and head-up display as standard, and its range of just over 7,000km is about 1,000km less than the G450's. Next in development is the G150 to replace the G100, formerly the Galaxy Astra SPX, and which will enter service in 2006. Gulfstream's line-up also includes the super mid-size G200, formerly the Galaxy business jet, the G500 ultra-long- range business jet, a reduced-specification, 10,700km-range version of the G550, Gulf- which sits at the top of the Gulfstream stream's family. The second production-conforming prototype has completed its maiden flight from Aero Vodochody's Prague base. The restructuring has been prompted by the Czech government's decision in April to buy out Boeing's 35.3% interest in the company and pay Aero's debts. The 850hp Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66-powered Ae270 was originally scheduled for certifi cation in December, but following cus tomer feedback, a number of refinements have been incorporated, including an increase in maximum take-off weight of 200kg to 4,000kg and cabin pressure from 0.36bar (5.21b/in2) to 0.38bar. Ibis has clinched 82 orders for the Ae270 from its worldwide network of distributors. Most sales are for the executive version, called the Spirit. The Spirit interior is under development at Southstar Interiors in Uvalde, Texas. INTRACOM GENERAL MACHINERY SA, 1, Ch.
