www.farnborough.com Keep your hats on...it's that time of year again! The first four trade days will include a fabulous flying display commencing at 1415, compromising a mixture of civil and military aircraft including front-line fighter aircraft, heavy airliners, regional jets, business jets, light GA aircraft and trainers, which will perform breathtaking stunts to the delight of the crowds. Thisyearthe SBAC has joined forces with the Motorsport Industries Association, showing the strong links that exist between the two areas of high performance engineering. In acknowledgement of this there will be a brief display on the runway prior to the start of the flying display, of vehicles embodying elements developed directly from the aerospace industry. Friday is the Enthusiasts' Day and is the first day of the three-day celebration of the Rolls -Royce Centenary. In recognition of this important occasion there will be flight displays by Rolls- Royce powered aircraft including the unique Spitfire PRXIX, arguably one of the most beautiful aircraft ever made. The flying display will begin at 1230 on Friday and Saturday and will feature the Trade Aircraft and the Motorsport display, alongside the famous Red Arrows who are sure to give their usual accomplished demonstration. New to the display circuit this season and a must- see for all aircraft enthusiasts is the RB211HT powered 747-400 from South African Airways, with an absolutely incredible display in a heavy airliner. The final display will be the Reds Arrows on Sunday at 1700, a marvellously fitting end to the greatest Farnborough International yet.
