CEOs on Training "At Gulfstream, we see FlightSafety as an extension of our culture." BRYAN T. MOSS President, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation Born in Greenville, Pennsylvania, Bryan Moss graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1962 with a bachelor's degree in industrial management. He joined the Lockheed-Georgia Company's engineering administrative group in 1966, and in 1968 moved to JetStar Sales, where eventually he rose to Sales Manager, Asia/ Australia, for various Lockheed aircraft. In the late 1970s, Moss became the Southeastern U.S. Sales Manager for Canadair, where his career enjoyed a fast and steady climb, leading him to the role of President of Canadair Challenger in 1987, and then to President of the Challenger Division, Canadair Group of Bombardier. He was appointed President of the Business Aircraft Division of Bombardier Aerospace Group in 1992. Moss brought his extensive experience in business-aircraft sales and management to Gulfstream in March 1995, joining the company - now a General Dynamics subsidiary - as Vice Chairman. Gulfstream named Bryan Moss President on April 11, 2003. Moss also serves as General Dynamics' Executive VP of Aerospace. MOSS characterizes the company's 35-year history of working with FlightSafety as a satisfying partner ship between two industry leaders. "To the extent that the first GI turboprop and the succeeding line of Gulfstream jets has helped shape and define business aviation, it is fitting that our preferred training company is the pioneer in simulation-based business aviation training," Moss says. This strong partnership is most evident in the daily interaction and cooperation between Gulfstream's factory in Savannah and the adjacent FlightSafety Learning Center, dedicated to Gulfstream pilot and maintenance-technician training, and flight attendant training as well. "I have deep respect for our customers, who rightfully hold us to high standards and tend to have a lot in common, including their passion for quality," he says. "It's gratifying to know that their training environment meets their high standards while reinforcing a culture of allegiance to Gulfstream." "We work hard at justifying our claim to be The World Standard'" in business aviation," he adds. "And that same claim applies equally well to FlightSafety International."
