The Flightglobal Webbies celebrate and acknowledge the best and brightest aviation websites and online activities. From established industry leaders to striving newcomers, the eight Flightglobal Webbies categories give the entire online aviation community a chance to enter or nominate their favourite websites.

The Flightglobal Webbies are now closed for nominations and the judges are considering the shortlisted entries.

Winning awards is a tricky business at the best of times so we've compliled a list of tips to help give you the best chance:

  • A clear message of success is the key – explain how your site or activity has set you above your competitors as a market-leading force, concisely word the evidence, and submit your entry. The entry deadline is 19th December 2008.
  • Set the context and background. Don’t assume that the judges are fully aware the great work your website has been doing.
  • Explain the strategy and goals. Provide an overview of what you set out to achieve, what the key objectives were, what steps you took and who was involved.
  • Celebrate the results. Provide details on what benefits have been realised and how they are being sustained.
  • Success requires innovation, vision, ability to take risks, courage and creativity – demonstrate this in your entry.
  • Include key metrics. Success on the web is all about metrics – pick you key metrics and illustrate to the judges why they show you’re doing a great job.
