Bundespolizei orders three maritime-roled H215s

Germany’s federal police has ordered three Airbus Helicopters H215s for maritime emergency and other law enforcement missions.

Delivery of the trio is anticipated in 2019, but no contract value has been disclosed.

H215s will from 2018 be produced at a new facility in Brasov, Romania, as well as at the airframer's factory in Marignane, France.

However, Airbus Helicopters says that due to the delivery timeline and customisation required, the three examples for the German customer will be delivered from France.

The Bundespolizei already operates a fleet of 19 Super Puma-family helicopters (below).
