China Southern Airlines will start a direct service between Brisbane and Beijing from 30 October.

The carrier will operate a four-times-weekly service from Brisbane airport to Beijing Capital International airport.

China Southern said it will deploy Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the route.

Edward Wang, China Southern's general manager Queensland, said: "The addition of Beijing to its network will better service the needs of the business communities in both Brisbane and Beijing."

According to the Innovata schedule, no other airline operates nonstop flights between Brisbane and Beijing.

In addition, the airline will increase its Guangzhou-Brisbane flights from three to four a week.
