Taiwanese carrier Eva Air is investing $100 million to upgrade the business class cabins on its fleet of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The newly fitted cabins with 38 business class seats will have fully lie-flat seats that are 26 inches (660mm) wide and 79 inches long.
The first service with the new seats will be launched on 2 June on a Taipei-New York flight. These refitted aircraft will then be introduced on services to Los Angeles by the end of 2012 and to San Francisco, Toronto, Paris, Amsterdam and London in 2013.
The cabin upgrades will be completed by August 2013.
Eva Air has 15 Boeing 777-300ERs in service and another three on order.
