ExecuJet has secured a foothold in the expanding Indonesian business aviation market following the signing of a memorandum of understanding with state-owned airport and air traffic control provider Angkasa Pura.
It will design, construct and manage general aviation terminals at up to 13 airports in the country.
"The signing of this agreement is a wonderful opportunity for ExecuJet to establish operations in Indonesia, which we view as an important and strategic location for ExecuJet's South East Asia expansion", says ExecuJet Asia managing director Graeme Duckworth.
The Switzerland-headquartered business aviation services provider will manage the facilities, with Bali International the first airport "to provide premium services to private aircraft users", says Tommy Soetomo, chief executive of Angkasa Pura 1, which controls the airports in eastern Indonesia.
The partnership, Soetomo continues, "will create a new business portfolio that will cater for the increasing trend of private aircraft movements in Indonesian airspace".
