Following the move of its former chief executive to Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong-based aircraft engineering and maintenance group HAECO has appointed his successor.
Summit Chan Ching, who most recently headed HAECO’s Xiamen unit, has been named as the company’s interim chief executive officer.
Confirming FlightGlobal’s queries, the company adds that Chan’s appointment took effect from 19 August.
Former HAECO chief of more than 10 years Augustus Tang left the company to join sister company Cathay Pacific as its new chief executive. Both HAECO and Cathay are part of the Swire Group.
The senior management shake-up within the aviation units of the Swire Group saw Hogg and former former Cathay customer and commercial chief Paul Loo resign on 16 August, amid mounting scrutiny of the airline from China.
Former HK Express chief Ronald Lam replaced Loo as customer and commercial chief. His role at Cathay’s low cost subsidiary was in turn filled by Cathay veteran Mandy Ng.
