PARIS: Collins announces $1.5 billion in MRO deals

Collins Aerospace has secured $1.5 billion in power control and aerostructures maintenance agreements from commercial aircraft operators, including its first MRO deal with Ethiopian Airlines.

The 25-year, $500 million Ethiopian agreement covers maintenance of heat exchangers, air management systems and fuel metering units on 60 De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 turboprops.

Collins has also landed deals involving maintenance of Boeing 787 and Airbus A320 nacelles through its FlightSense suite of data analytics products.

Those deals are worth up to $900 million, including options, the company says.

Japan Airlines signed a contract to receive supply chain management through FlightSense and an undisclosed airline has also signed a FlightSense agreement involving 777 maintenance.
