Air-Cushion Vehicles FLIGHT International supplement, 18 April 1968 PERUVING TRIP Fifteen hundred miles of running over the Amazonas headwaters of Peru, far up into the Andean foothills, were accomplished by a Hoverwork SR.N& on a BHC demonstration last month (see page 45). The well known enter- tainer Mr Michael Bentine did much to set up the tour, accompanied the craft throughout its journey, and took our cover pictures and those on this page. Seen at the end of one of fourteen troublefree transits of the notorious Pongo del Manseriche rapids the N6, left, was commanded by BHC test driver Mr Don Ellis, above. Far left, the N6 heads for the rapids. Left, Mr Graham Clarke, of Hoverwork, assisted in driving, and commands the craft on this month's even more ambitious Amazon-Orinoco transit, carrying an expedition organised by our associate, "The Geographical Maga- zine."
