A 106 Production of the single-seat foldable A 106 ASW helicopter (designed to replace the Agusta-Beil 47Js operated from Italian navy cruisers) was due to begin in 1969. It has a Bell-type two-bladed rotor with balance bobs and is powered by the 320 s.h.p. Turbomeca/ Agusta TAA 230. Main armament is two Mk 44 torpedoes carried beneath the fuselage. Agusta-Bell 206 Jet Ranger Sixty are being built for the Aeronautica Militare and 50 for the Turkish Army. Agusta also built the first 500 JetRanger airframes for Bell. Silvercraft SpA Strada del Sempione 114, 21018 Sesto Calende, Varese SH-4 Series production of 50 three-seat SH-4 utility helicopters is being undertaken in con junction with SIAI-Marchetti. Powerplant is a Franklin 235 h.p. 6A-350-D de-rated to 170 h.p. Certification is to both Italian and FAA standards. Rotor dia 29ft 8in; fuselage length 25ft tin; height 9ft 9in; weight empty 1,1201b, max 1,9001b; max speed 87kt, cruise 49/70kt; max climb 1,180ft/min; hover ceiling i.g.e. 9,845ft; max range 173 n.m. POLAND WSK-Swidnik Swidnik WSK/MIL Mi-2 Built under licence since 1966, with an improvement programme, in cluding plastic rotor blades, planned until 1975. The original single piston engine is replaced by two roof-mounted 437 s.h.p. Isotov GTD- 350 turbines. A pilot and six or eight passengers or 1,5431b freight, can be carried.
