PEOPLE Hazen Tuck SUNDSTRAND US aerospace-component manufacturer Sundstrand, of Rockford, Illinois, has ap pointed Hazen Tuck vice- president of international business development. He re places Kenelm Groff, who is to retire. Tuck, with Sund strand since 1975, was pre viously director of corporate audit services. HONG KONG PAA The Provisional Airport Au thority (PAA) of Hong Kong has named Chern Heed as commercial director and An thony Watson as operations director. Heed was previously airport general manager of Toronto's L B Pearson Interna tional Airport, in Canada, and Watson was operations director of the UK's Birmingham Inter national Airport. RAYTHEON Raytheon Corporate Jets, of Lexington, Massachusetts, has appointed two new vice- presidents. Karl Childs be comes vice-president of sales for the eastern USA and Can ada. EUTELSAT Andreas Langemeyer has joined telecommunications- satellite organisation EUTELSAT, based at Paris, in France, as technical director. LEAR ASTRONICS Sean Amour has been named regional manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Lear Astronics. Amour, who will be responsible for market ing support for flight-control systems, radar-products and unmanned airvehicles, will be based at Sophia Antipolis, near Nice, France. MOSCOW INSTITUTE Dr Leslie Cohen, programme manager for advanced systems at McDonnell Douglas Aero space, is a new member of the board of trustees of Russia's Moscow Institute of Aviation Technology. He will serve on the executive committee as ex ecutive secretary. MIDWAY AIRCRAFT Gerard O'Brien has been ap pointed vice-president and general manager of Dassault company Midway Aircraft In strument, of Little Ferry, New SCHOLARSHIP JUDITH RESNIK The American Flyers flight school of San Diego, Califor nia, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is to fund the Judith Resnik Memorial Scholar ship, a memorial to the back-up command pilot as tronaut on the Space Shuttle Challenger which exploded in January 1986. This is the third year of a scholarship designed to assist serious female career-oriented pi lots. The funding amounts to $20,000 annually in flight training, awarded quarterly. Recipients must hold at least a private pilot's certificate and an instrument rating. The award will be for the CFI and/or CFII ratings. JET AVIATION James Barnhart has been named vice-president of busi ness development of business- aviation service company Jet Aviation, of West Palm Beach, Florida. He was previously dis trict director of marketing with Delta Air Lines. BURNS AEROSPACE William Dye has been ap pointed vice-president and gen eral manager of the Los Angeles, California-based office of aircraft-seat manufacturer Burns Aerospace, of Winston-, Salem, North Carolina. He was previously director of business development and marketing. Michael Dees, director of prod- uc*. support, has been named director of international sales and Vance Fulp is appointed manager of product support.
