Eclipse Aviation has selected Albany International airport in New York as the site for the third of its seven factory service centres for the Eclipse 500 very light jet, after Albuquerque, New Mexico and Gainesville, Florida. The state has provided $1.6 million in grants to build the facility, with construction to be completed next year.

Dutch investigators probing the fatal crash of a Blackshape Aircraft BK 160 are trying to determine whether external burn marks arose from an in-flight or post-impact fire.
