Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS) is looking for qualified staff to join its technical support teams for VIP and executive jets in Berlin-Brandenburg.

With the business aviation division’s considerable order backlog, and the decision by the German federal government to engage Lufthansa Technik as prime contractor for its new fleet of medium- and long-haul aircraft, LBAS is increasing its capacity to deal with the rising demand for MRO services for VIP and executive jets in the German capital.

Given the convenient location of the maintenance hangar near to the general aviation terminal - and the advanced stage of construction work on the new Berlin-Brandenburg international airport (BBI) in Berlin-Schönefeld - the location is an ideal site for MRO services for VIP and executive jets and also for supporting Germany’s special air mission wing.

Many VIP customers are already bringing their aircraft to Berlin-Schönefeld for maintenance, which meanwhile hosts a cluster of companies specialising in maintenance support and capable of meeting the needs of the business aviation community.

Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services has three hangars in the present south zone and future central zone of the airport where it services a growing fleet of Bombardier aircraft of the Learjet, Challenger and Global series.

Other types of VIP aircraft, such as the Boeing Business Jet and the Airbus Corporate Jetliner, are also frequent visitors to the Lufthansa Technik hangar. These facilities place Lufthansa Technik and other Group companies in the unique position of being able to offer quality-conscious customers a full, flexible range of services in the German capital.
