Operating lessor Falko Regional Aircraft has signed two letter of Intent (LOIs) with Bombardier for up to 24 firm CS100 aircraft.

“As we begin a period of worldwide growth and expansion with a strong pipeline of acquisitions, the CSeries aircraft will figure prominently in our plans,” says Mark Hughes, executive vice president, corporate finance, Falko Regional Aircraft.

The lessor is already a CRJ900 customer. It acquired two units earlier this year through a purchase and leaseback transaction with Adria Airways.

Since the beginning of the year, Falko has also purchased a 2006-vintage CRJ900 aircraft from Bombardier with a lease attached to Mesa Airlines.

“As the fourth lessor to recognize the CSeries aircraft’s considerable market potential, Falko brings an impressive amount of knowledge and experience in placing aircraft in this market segment and we are pleased it has placed its confidence in the CS100 aircraft,” says Bombardier Commercial Aircraft senior vice president sales, marketing and asset management Ray Jones.
