IAG has expanded its landing-gear maintenance partnership with the equipment's manufacturer Messier-Bugatti-Dowty to cover the airline group's entire Airbus A320-family fleet.

Group carrier Iberia has signed a 10-year contract covering landing-gear overhauls on its A320 fleet, says the manufacturer.

Additionally, the Spanish airline has extended an existing MRO agreement for the equipment on its A340-600 widebodies, while sister carrier British Airways has reached a similar deal for the landing gear of its A320 fleet.

Now, Messier-Bugatti-Dowty says it provides landing-gear MRO services on "all of IAG's Airbus A320-family aircraft".

While BA's equipment is being serviced at the manufacturer's UK plant in Gloucester, Iberia's A320 landing gear will be maintained in that facility and at a Mexican site in Queretaro "depending on the location of the fleets involved", says Messier-Bugatti-Dowty.

Iberia's A340-600 landing gear is serviced in Molsheim, France.
