The first Atlant-Soyuz Ilyushin Il-96-400T freighter arrived at Zhukovsky on 16 August after a ferry flight from Voronezh. The aircraft, built at the VASO plant in Voronezh, flew for the first time on 14 August.

The Il-96-400T is a stretched, Aviadvigatel PS-90-powered derivative of the Il-96-300.

Aeroflot signed a memorandum of understanding in March for six Il-96-400Ts, but has yet to make a prepayment to firm up the order.
