Asia-Pacific is proving to be an important market for Smiths Detection, which has racked up sales worth more than $5 million in the region in the run-up to the show.

Singapore's Changi airport is buying Ionscan 400Bs for its baggage screening operations, and Smiths Detection has also sold x-ray inspection equipment to Guangzhou Baiyun international airport in China, Ryoju TES in Japan and Jalux in Sri Lanka.
