Stelios Haji-Ioannou, chairman of UK low-fare operator easyJet, is to step down next year in order to pursue other business interests. Haji-Ioannou, who founded the airline with two Boeing 737s back in 1995, will be replaced by Sir Colin Chandler, chairman of Vickers Defence Systems. Ray Webster will remain as chief executive.
