A Lockheed Martin Titan 4 launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida on 14 February placed a Northrop Grumman-built US Air Force Defense Support Programme (DSP) early-warning satellite into geostationary orbit using the last Boeing inertial upper stage. The launch was the 37th by a Titan IV since 1989, with 26 launched from Canaveral and 11 from Vandenberg AFB, California. Two more Titan 4s are to be launched, from Cape Canaveral this year and Vandenberg in 2005. The final DSP will be launched by Boeing Delta IV in 2005.
