Airbus says that limit-load wing bending trials undertaken on the A380 static test airframe in Toulouse earlier this month went "very well" and data is now being evaluated by engineers at Airbus UK's Bristol Filton plant. Limit load is the maximum load that the aircraft is expected to experience during its service life. During the second test, the loading condition was held for approximately 45-min, while functional tests of spoilers and ailerons were undertaken.
