David Bird, professor at Montreal's McGill University, is looking to start a new journal that focuses on the impact of SUAS in ornithological study. The Journal of Unmanned Vehicle Systems would focus on military, civil and engineering technologies. Bird sees collaboration with AUVSI as mostly beneficial.
"The risk is, obviously, we'd like to make it a part where Unmanned Systems Canada doesn't lose itself in the larger organization," Bird says.
