Maintenance specialist AAR has won a three-year contract from Irish-based Air Contractors for Boeing 757 component repair and management services.

Illinois-based AAR will provide the services under the cost-per-flight-hour deal. It will also supply parts for Air Contractors’ base and line maintenance stations throughout Europe.

Dublin-based Air Contractors has agreed to operate three 757s for Aer Lingus. One aircraft is already flying on the the Irish flag carrier’s daily Shannon-Boston route, and two more will be deployed on six-times-weekly Shannon-New York and Dublin-Toronto routes.

“We were able to offer a flexible, high-value solution to Air Contractors that enables them to ensure high levels of service in support of its expanded transatlantic service,” says Carl Glover, vice-president of European sales for AAR’s aviation supply chain group. “We appreciate the confidence Air Contractors has shown in us with this new programme and look forward to contributing to its efficient operations.”
