Britten-Norman has acquired six BN2B-20 Islanders from Surveillance Australia to meet the growing demand for the piston-twin aircraft from passenger and ulilty operators worldwide. The Islanders were previously used for maritime surveillance and are equipped with an instrument flight rules cockpit, autopilot, extended range tip tanks, observation windows, and an air conditioned cabin as standard. Bembridge, Isle of Wight, UK-based Britten Norman says the aircraft will undergo a full factory refurbishment programme.
