RUSSIAN PIPERS

Piper Aircraft has appointed Sim Aviation as its Russian dealer. The Krasnodar-based company will help the Florida-based airframer to strengthen its position in the "emerging new market" by establishing service and sales centres within Krasnodar, the Moscow region and St Petersburg. Sim Aviation already has two Piper Meridian turboprop singles and two Altaire business jets on order.


JET AVIATION APPROVAL

Jet Aviation Hong Kong has been given the green light as a Dassault Falcon authorised service centre. The facility was appointed by the French airframer last year and has been approved by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department. "The service centre status enhances our ability to meet the needs of the growing Dassault Falcon customer base in Asia," said Nigel Parker, managing director of Jet Aviation Hong Kong.


VIBRO CITATION

German executive jet operator Vibro-Air has taken delivery of a Cessna Citation CJ3. The light business jet will be used for charter operations, joining two Beechcraft Premier Is, an Embraer Legacy 600 and an Israel Aerospace Industries Astra SP in service.


PIAGGIO DEALERSHIPS

Piaggio has appointed P180 Avanti II dealers in the UK and Egypt as it continues to push into new markets for the twin-turboprop. Farnborough-based Corporate Jet Management will represent the Italian airframer in the British Isles, while Alkan Air will be the Avanti's agent in the north African country.


AFRICAN REP

Embraer has named the Barbedos Group as its executive jets authorised sales representative for West Africa. Based at Kaduna airport in Nigeria, the group operates a Legacy 600, and is marketing the Brazilian manufacturer's executive jet line in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal.
