INTEGRATED STC

Avidyne and S-TEC have clinched US supplemental type certification to retrofit the Alliant integrated flight deck into Cessna Conquest II twin-engine turboprop. The Conquest II is the third aircraft type after the Beechcraft's King Air 90 and 200-twin turboprop series to combine the Avidyne Envision series of retrofit integrated flight decks with S-TEC's IntelliFlight 2100 digital flight control system.

SERVICE CENTRE

Clifford Development has appointed Little Rock, Arkansas-based Central Flying Service as a modification and service centre for the re-engined Williams International FJ44-3A Citation II and Citation SII - scheduled for certification early this year.

FLIGHT TESTING

Embraer has completed first flight of its third Phenom 100, one of four very light jets that will take part in the certification and maturity programme for the aircraft. The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW617F-powered twinjet was the first to be completed at the Brazilian manufacturer's new Phenom final assembly facility at Gavião Peixoto, also the site of the first flight. The aircraft, outfitted with an interior that was designed in partnership with BMW DesignworksUSA, will be used primarily for interior function and reliability tests. Certification of the Phenom 100 is planned for mid-2008.
