INDIAN AIR TAXI

Air Car - believed to be India's first low-cost air charter operation - was launched in New Delhi on 23 November with the first two of 12 Cirrus SR22 GTS piston singles on order. "Air Car is 50% cheaper than any available air charter service currently operating over similar distances and is priced competitively against a business-class airline fare," says Manav Singh, Air Car co-founder and managing director of Indian fractional ownership provider Club One Air. Air Car - which is also headed by former Air Sahara chief executive Uttam Kumar Bose - is holding discussions with small to medium-size companies with the aim of establishing tailored transport packages for staff and executives.
