PHENOM APPROVALS

Embraer CAE Training Services' first Phenom 300 full-flight simulator, at CAE's centre in Dallas, Texas, has been certificated. The simulator joins a Phenom 100 FFS in Dallas that was approved in the second half of 2009. The Embraer-CAE joint venture also includes a Phenom 100 FFS in the UK. The newly installed Phenom 300 FFS has been qualified in Brazil, Europe and the USA. Embraer has also secured Brazilian, European and US certification for the Garmin synthetic vision technology feature on its Phenom 100. It is now working on certification of the technology for the Phenom 300, which Embraer claims will be the first light jet to have the technology.


ELITE BOOSTS AL JABER

The first Airbus A318 Elite to be based in the Middle East for VVIP flights has been delivered to Abu Dhabi-based business jet charter specialist Al Jaber Aviation, which plans to take a further three A318 Elites and two Airbus Corporate Jetliners to take its fleet, which includes Embraer Legacy and Lineage business jets, to 21 aircraft by 2015.


HBC CHILE DISTRIBUTOR

Hawker Beechcraft has appointed Aviasur as its exclusive distributor in Chile for all Hawker and Beechcraft aircraft models. It says Santiago-based Aviasur took delivery of South America's first Beechcraft King Air 350i earlier this year, joining a Hawker 400XP which it acquired in 2006. In addition to offering charter and management services, Aviasur has a maintenance business that is in the process of becoming an HBC authorised service centre.
