New strategy head at Qinetiq, Silver Air chief executive

Former US first undersecretary of defence for intelligence Dr Stephen Cambone is senior VP for strategy at Qinetiq North America. Brad Thomann has been named senior VP and chief operating officer of Jeppesen, and Greg Bowlin has been appointed senior VP of the company's business and general aviation unit.

Harpoth: move to Silver Air

Dubai-based wet-lease operator Silver Air has made Steffen Harpoth chief executive. Solange Paiva Viera has replaced Milton Zuanazzi as president of the Brazilian civil aviation authority. Zuanazzi resigned amid the reorganisation of the country's civil aviation sector. Crane Aerospace & Electronics has named Lenn Phegley site leader of its Chandler, Arizona site. AirTran Holdings president and chief operating officer Bob Forano is now chief executive. Cirrus Design chief executive Alan Klapmeier will chair the General Aviation Manufactur­ers Association for 2008 Jeppessen chief executive Mark Van Tine is vice-chairman. Former MTU Maintenance chief financial officer Sebastian Groeger succeeds Michael Sattlers as senior VP of Jet Aviation Singapore. Sattlers returns to Jet Aviation Basel as VP of maintenance.
